In the first week of March 2024, IFQM embarked on a visit to Germany to interact with two leading quality institutions: The European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and the Deutsche Gessellschaft for Qualitaet (DGQ). Besides, it included visits to some leading companies such as Bayer, Mercedes Benz, Bosch, Carl Zeiss, Siemens and Durr in Germany.
The purpose was to explore and identify possible areas of collaboration with EFQM and DGQ; and learn the best practices of Quality and Innovation from the CEOs, CTOs and CXOs of some leading Manufacturing and Research organizations. The visit focused on gaining valuable insights from the diverse quality management systems they use.
This collaborative initiative offered a unique opportunity for IFQM in facilitating cross learning among member organizations. This journey wasn’t just a trip; it was a catalyst for transformation towards achieving global quality.
