Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is made between Indian Foundation for Quality Management (IFQM) and Confederation of Indian Industry – Institute of Quality (CII-IQ).
Indian Foundation for Quality Management (IFQM) is setup up by eight leading Indian organizations from diverse sectors, to catalyze transformational changes in the way Indian companies operate. With a purpose to enhance prosperity and Quality of life for all, IFQM is committed to offer expertise and solutions that enable continuous improvements in products and services, aimed to enhance the respect for Brand India, globally. This includes institutionalizing a culture of quality that meets and exceeds global standards, cutting across industry sectors and segments.
IFQM is a Section 8 Not-For-Profit company incorporated in September 2023 under the Companies Act, 1956, Government of India.

Context: IFQM and CII-IQ would like to formalise an agreement for cooperation between themselves, to enhance the impact on industry performance in India from initiatives in Quality, Innovation and Business Excellence; and to add speed to efforts for India to become a globally competitive and prosperous nation by 2047.
Potential areas for cooperation to drive Quality and Innovation include, but not limited to:
- Research Projects that can influence and strengthen Indian Industry’s Global competitiveness.
- Collaborating to create and execute Training Programs for business professionals in current and future concepts including TQM, TPM, LEAN and Six Sigma.
- Building Capability and Capacity in organizations thru’ Assessments, Diagnostics and Counselling that catalyse Indian organizations towards global standards in Quality and Innovation.
- Establishing and running Clusters for MSME, including propagating the ZED scheme.
- Any other activity that may unfurl as an opportunity to expand, scale, and deepen each party’s engagements with Indian organizations.
